I am in network with BCBS, UHC (and all subsidiaries) and Aetna. I am an Out of Network (OON) counselor for all other plans.
I am not an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provider for any plans.
Your coverage will depend on your plan. You can call the number on the back of your insurance card to find out if you have a deductible which must be met prior to a co insurance amount being due, or if you simply have a co pay amount.
Anxiety
What is anxiety? What causes it? Is it normal to feel so anxious and not be able to turn off my thoughts? Like all of our feelings, anxiety exists on a continuum of mild to severe. Life can be anxiety provoking, but it doesn't have to be something that feels outside of your control. I can help you find the tools that work for you to tame your feelings of anxiety and gain control over your life.
Self Worth
Ah, self worth/self esteem/human value - these terms get tossed around alot in our culture. But what does it really mean? Human value is just that - you have it because you draw breath. No one is born with low self worth, we learn it, so we can unlearn it. You don't have to earn it through achievements, fame, or looks (those are market and social value - very different concepts). I can help you rediscover and grow your human value so the compass that controls your life is INSIDE of you, not outside!
Depression
Depression is a medical condition. Just like you wouldn't blame a loved one for being born with diabetes or for being diagnosed with a genetic disorder, there is no blame or shame attached to the condition of depression. It is a treatable disease. I can help you understand this disease and find your path out of depression.
Anger Management
HE OR SHE MADE ME SO MAD...no they didn't. Anger represents a frustrated need, or demand that people or situations be differant than they are. Getting expectations in line with reality for your self and other people is a great start to taming anger. Anger is a GOOD thing - it alerts us to a need. I can help you understand your feelings of anger, decode it and communicate what you need.
Stress
We have all felt stress at some point in our lives, it is unavoidable. But did you know that feelings of stress and feelings of peace come from the same place? Between our ears. Thoughts cause and amplify feelings and allow us to choose our response to life. I can work with you to understand what is happening in your mind and body and to pick a healthier response.
